The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow is inviting applications for MArch Architectural Design (International) course starting in September 2019.
This two-year course is for international students who are looking for a challenging programme of study that meets the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Part 2 educational criteria.
Students will develop skills in advanced design, analysis and architectural critique designing complex buildings in a variety of contexts and addressing social, cultural and environmental issues.
The first year of study is centred on consolidating your architectural design skills. Students will be introduced to the idea of architecture as a responsive solution to fundamental social issue.
In the second year , students undertake a significant architectural project on which they are required to take a standpoint on contemporary architectural issues .Study trips provide opportunities for intensive examinations of the culture and built fabric in a variety of urban and rural locations both in the UK and overseas. Recent trips include Barcelona, Rome, Paris and Venice and the less familiar Gdansk, Toledo and Monte Caruso.
Study abroad– Students will have the opportunity to study abroad, subject to academic performance. The department has the most expansive international exchange programme in the UK and it agreements with 22 institutions across Europe, Canada, the Far East and South America.
Accreditation- The Masters in Architectural Design International is validated by the RIBA at Part 2.

Eligibility -first or second-class Honours degree in Architecture, or equivalent agreed academic standard. This course is aimed at Students who have gained their first degree in architecture from a university overseas.
Fee- £16,800 per academic year for International students
Scholarship –Students applying for the March Architectural Design (International) course will be eligible to apply for a Faculty of Engineering Excellence Scholarship offering up to £3,000 towards their tuition fees.
Students must have an offer of study for this full time course at Strathclyde before applying and their course must start from the coming academic year (2019-20).
