The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) have announced the admission schedule for the 2026 academic session. The online application process will begin on March 5, 2026, through the official admissions portal.
Candidates can apply to IISERs via multiple admission channels, including KVPY, JEE Advanced, and the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT). During registration, applicants will be required to submit personal and academic details and indicate their preferred IISER campuses.
IISERs are known for their research-focused undergraduate programmes in science, combining strong academic foundations with early exposure to scientific research.
Applicants choosing the IAT channel must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, which include passing Class 12 or an equivalent examination with the required subjects and minimum marks, as detailed in the official guidelines.
The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 is scheduled to be held on Sunday, June 7. The entrance examination will assess candidates’ conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills across physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology. The test is open to students who have completed their higher secondary education in India or abroad.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official IISER website for detailed instructions, updates, and important deadlines related to the admission process.
