The inauguration was led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif, alongside key dignitaries including Registrar Prof. Mohammad Mahtab Alam Rizvi, Dean of Engineering & Technology Prof. Mini Shaji Thomas, and Sundresan Narayanan, MD of Carrier Air-conditioning Ltd.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Asif emphasized the importance of aligning academic learning with evolving industry demands.

Admissions Update
JMI’s online admission portal will close on April 10, 2025 for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including BTech and BArch. Applications can be submitted at admission.jmi.ac.in.
This year, the university will admit students into 25 programmes via CUET scores at UG, PG, diploma, and advanced diploma levels. Entry tests for 29 other courses will be conducted across nine cities in India, ensuring broader access to aspiring students nationwide.
Global Outreach and Inclusivity
To enhance its global appeal, JMI has:
- Reduced application fees for students from SAARC countries
- Enabled online interviews for international PhD applicants
- Reserved two BDS seats specifically for foreign nationals
These efforts reflect Jamia’s push toward becoming more globally accessible and inclusive in higher education.
