TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) collaborated with Macquarie University to launch the TCS GoZero hub, a research and innovation center that is supporting Australian organizations to follow the path leading towards net zero carbon emissions. This hub will focus on five fundamental themes: energy transition, carbon management, fostering a nature-positive future, while implementing a circular economy and sustainable waste management, and enhancing climate adaptation and resilience. The aim is to address and mitigate the impacts of future climate change including preparing for them.
The collaboration aims of uniting diverse approaches and ideas from various sectors in both industry and academia. The goal is to facilitate research and innovation that will assist enterprises, governments, regulatory bodies, and communities throughout Australia in creating pathways to initiate the transition to a net-zero future and beyond. The emphasis is on prioritizing nature and people in this endeavor.
According to Professor S. Bruce Dowton, Vice Chancellor of Macquarie University the university is dedicated to conduct research which contributes to sustainability and has an impact globally. Their partnership with TCS and the establishment of the TCS GoZero Hub will enhance their influence in innovative ways as they are addressing the worldwide decarbonization challenge and putting efforts towards building a more sustainable, fair, and equitable society.
