Protesting candidates decide to go on hunger strike demanding postponement of NEET UG 2022 exam
NEET UG 2022 exam is scheduled to be held on July 17,2022. Meanwhile, a large number of students approached National Testing Agency (NTA) demanding postponement of the exam citing lack of time for preparation.
Protesting candidates are now planning go on a hunger strike and also seeks Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intervention in the matter. They are demanding a 40-day window to prepare thoroughly for the exam. It should be noted that the CBSE Class 12th exam ended on June 15, leaving them with less than one month’s time for preparing for the NEET exam. To make things worse, the current schedule clashes with lot of other examinations as well.
Even the NEET 2021 counselling procedure continued till May 2022. More than 18.72 lakh students have applied for NEET 2022.
