Whistling Woods International (WWI) consists of academia that caters to various competencies from Film making, Media & Communication, to Animation, Fashion Design and Visual Communication Design. The institute offers degrees and diplomas accredited by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in several domains – BSc/BA in Film-making with specialization, BA in Screenwriting, BSc/BA in Animation Film making with specialization, BSc/ BA in Game Design, BA in Acting, BA in Fashion Design, BA in Visual Communication Design, BA in Music Production & Composition, BBA in Media & Communication and PGD in Media & Entertainment. Students can also apply for Diploma courses such as Advanced Diploma in Film making with specialization, Advanced Diploma in Acting, and Diploma Screenwriting.
Infrastructure WWI’s 5.5 acres of campus with 1,50,000 sq. ft. of built up space com-prises of high-end facilities that con-tribute towards nurturing their students’ professional and personal development. These amenities include
- classrooms/ lecture halls & workshop rooms – that are acoustically treated with projection & audio systems, acting/dancing/music/yoga studios, gymnasium, fashion pattern-making and draping rooms for fashion design students, internet cafe and ATM among others.
Co-Curricular Activities and Events Organize By and For Students. From school-specific masterclasses to 5th Veda cultural hub to the WWI JIO VR Lab Knowledge Series, all these sessions witness industry experts sharing their personal journey and experiences with the students. Through these events students get an opportunity to interact with the experts on a one-on-one basis. In addition to this, in 2012 as an initiative to celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema, WWI started an annual-event – ‘Celebrate Cinema’, which conducts film screening more than 100 workshops and panel discussions on various arts and crafts of media and entertainment.
Placement
WWI has a Career Resource department, which builds partnership with the biggest and best media and enter -tainment entities. They mentor the students to help them understand various job profiles and which would work in their best interest. Further-more, they also guide the students about companies they should opt for. Being a premier institute of Film, Communication & Creative Arts, as of now, there are more than 1600 alum-ni successfully working in top positions in the media & entertainment industry.
