In an untoward incident, a suspected rhino poacher has been trampled on by an elephant then eaten by a pride of lions. This happened in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
The other poachers accompanying him told the victim’s family that he had been killed by an elephant on Tuesday.
The search team roamed in the jungle to find the body but eventually found a human skull and a pair of trousers on Thursday.
The managing executive of the park expressed his condolences to the family.
About the incident, he further commented that, “Entering Kruger National Park illegally and on foot is not wise. The National Park is dangerous and this incident is evidence of that.”
In past as well, Kruger National Park saw poaching activities undergoing at the place.
This can be connected with the wide demand for Rhino horns in the Asian countries.
