Five out of eight stations in the stretch of Ameerpet to Hi-tech City will go operational today on Wednesday, announced HMRL (Hyderabad Metro Railway Limited). It is inaugurated by Shri ESL Narsimhan, the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governer. The event is a low key- affair with simple organization owing to the Model Code of Conduct for upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
As people eagerly waited for this phase of Metro, especially the college goers will be greatly benefited as traffic over the roadways has been making the things worse. At such juncture, Metro will act as a big plus point for regular college students who travel up and down daily.
The students of college like Sri Venkateshwara College of Pharmacy, Narayana Jr. College, Sri Gayatri Medical Academy situated in Hitech city will get an advantage as it is a better and comfortable transport. Also, it will be advantageous for thousands of office goers who work in firms situated in Hi-Tech city. Over the period, it has been observed that more and more people prefer Metro over other means of transport owing to advantages such as frequent run, smooth operations and nominal costs.
It is to be noted that this blue line comes under phase 3 of Hyderabad Metro, comprising eight stations in all. They are namely -Taruni-Madhura Nagar, Yousufguda, Jubilee Hills Road No 5, Jubilee Hills Check-post, Peddamma temple, Madhapur, Durgam Cheruvu and Hitec City. Out of them Jubilee Hills Check-post, Peddamma temple, Madhapur will not be open for the public. These three stations will be open for public in a few weeks, said the HMRL officials.
The frequency of run over the stretch of Ameerpet to Hitech city will be 9-12 minutes, a little more as compared to the 6 minutes frequency in other parts of Metro services.
