The candidates eligible and interested can apply for 1, 03,769 Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) group D posts by April 12, 2019. After the completion of the application process, the exam date will be announced, as per the cell.
Syllabus for Computer Based Test of RRC group D recruitment 2019-21:
- Mathematics
Number System, BODMAS, Decimals & Fractions, LCM & HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Elementary Statistics, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Squares & Square Roots, Age Calculations, Calendars & Clocks, Pipes and Cisterns, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest.
- General Science
It covers Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10 standard levels.
- General Awareness on Current Affairs
Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subjects of importance that need a lot of focus.
- General Intelligence and reasoning
Analogies, Coding and Decoding, Alphabetical and Number Series, Relationships, Mathematical Operations, Venn Diagrams, Syllogism, Jumbling, Similarities and Differences, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Statement- Arguments and Assumptions and Directions.
The exam pattern is:
The paper will be consisting of objective type questions on Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes.
The procedure for selection is:
On the basis of Computer Based Test (CBT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) the candidates will be selected. For incorrect answers in the CBT there will be negative marking of 1/3 of the marks.
