The date for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2022 has been revised by the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) The revised date for the examination is 19th June. Applicants can check the revised schedules on their official website.
With respect to the notice, the last date for the submission of applications has been extended to May 9th 2022. The final exam will be held on 9th June, 2022 from 2-4 PM.
This time slot is applicable for both UG and PG programmes. The last date of application earlier was 31st March 2022 and the final exam was supposed to be held on 8th May 2022.
The UG-CLAT examination 2022 will be taken by candidates who have either passed class 12 exams or will appear for it this year while the CLAT-LLM exam will see applicants who have already graduated their LLB programmes or will graduate this year.
The Consortium for the first time has scheduled two exams in a year. It has also slashed the counselling fee from Rs 50,000 to Rs 30,000 for unreserved categories. The counselling fee for the reserved category however is Rs 20,000.
UG students will have to complete 150 questions while PG students will have to complete 120 questions. CLAT tests the proficiency of students in the following areas: Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Current Affairs, English and General Knowledge. 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer while 1 mark is awarded to every right answer.
