The Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute of Archaeology at Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, March 9. PM Modi said after inaugurating that this institute is going to provide modern amenities for research scholars and students from India and all over the world.
This institute is built at an estimated cost of Rs. 289 crore which is spread over 25 acres. This institute is a 3-star ultra-modern green building which is equipped with all the latest technologies.
There is an auditorium which has a seating capacity of 1000 people, also has an open-air theatre and an Archaeological Museum.
This Institute of Archaeology (IA) which is an academic wing of ASI under the Ministry of Culture. In this Institute, there is a supportive, enthusiastic and challenging academic atmosphere which will help students to enable them to achieve their full potential in the field of Archaeology.
