The reputed Delhi University is about to start its admission processes a bit early this year and the registrations may start on April 15 and finish on May 7. The Admission Committee of the university has decided in its meeting on Friday even to reduce from five per cent to two per cent the deduction of marks for the change of stream.
Dean of Students’ Welfare Rajeev Gupta, also the head of the committee said that as per the tentative schedule for 2019-2020 admission the registration will begin on April 15 and end on May 7 for all undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD courses. On May 20 the portal will reopen again for two weeks in order to update marks and courses. Even the extracurricular activity and sports trials will start from May 20.
He further mentioned that DU will be trying to contact CBSE in order to use their database for getting students mark sheets and certificates as the colleges will be required to include representatives from various categories like SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Northeast in their grievance committees.
