On February 16, 2018 at Shri K. K. Shastri Government Commerce College in Ahmedabad a mega job fair was organized by AITMC (All India Technical and Management Council) – MCC in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
Deep Chaudhary, President of AITMC said almost 4200 students turned up for the job fair. The fair was arranged mainly for under-skilled and semi-skilled students inviting more than 60 companies.
He added, the fair was well organized and very successful, even though there was hurdles in the beginning. Earlier they aimed at organizing the fair for 10,000 students, this year it was arranged for 12,000.
Key people who attended the fair were Dilip Kumar Thakor, Minister of Labor and Employment; Parshottam Rupala Minister of Agriculture & Panchayati Raj Gujarat; Bupendra Singh Chudasama, Minister of Education of Gujarat; Pradip Singh Jadeja, Minister of Home Affairs; Paresh Rawal, MP of Ahmedabad East; Dr. Rutvij Patel- President Yuva Morcha Gujarat, and Shreya Chopra, Miss India 2017.
The chief multi-national companies who attended the fair were ICICI Prudential, Peregrine, IKYA, Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd., Welspun, Checkmate, Sodexo, Max Vigil, Tata and Intelenet.
