- what encouraged you to become an anchor?
It was more like a call of destiny. I was studying finance when my college festival happened. I happened to host the Annual Fest as the Emcee didn’t turn up and viola! Here I am
- What are you currently reading?
I am ardent fan of Jeffery Archer. I am currently reading his latest work “Heads You Win” Since I take multiple flights every month, I use my travel time to read. It fuels my imagination and broadens my horizon. I am a die-hard Jeffery Archer and Sidney Sheldon fan. Closer home, I love reading the works of Khushwant Singh.
- What is one message you would give to your fans?
I want to take this opportunity to thank you, each and every one of you, for being the best supporters I could have ever asked for. I will never forget where I came from. I will continue to strive to make you proud. That’s a promise.
- Any tips for budding anchor?
Life is all about learning and I still feel like I am a beginner. But from personal experience, I would forewarn all upcoming emcees that there are no shortcuts to success. It might sound cliché but honestly, the only way to make a mark in the industry is to work hard. It is important to constantly enhance on your skills and work on your craft. You should be hungry to learn and have a voracious appetite for success.
- What would be a good theme song for your life?
I think a perfect theme song for me would be “Independent Women” by Destiny’s child. I have a very “I depend on me” attitude to life which is the essence of this song
- How do you prepare yourself before a show begins?
I like to go to an event with my homework in place. I do extensive reading and research about the brand, organization or family that I represent. I believe one should be abreast with the content of the event so that one doesn’t have to memorize everything by the word. I believe in being spontaneous and interactive on stage.

- How important do you think education is in life?
Education lays the foundation of one’s life. I am thankful to my parents for instilling the importance of education into me from childhood. Although I started working as a freelance emcee since college days, my parents made sure I finished my college and earned my Master’s degree. I strongly believe true education never really ends. We are all students of life, learning our lessons one day at a time.
