The celebration was a reflection of a year filled with achievements, growth, and unwavering commitment to high-quality legal education with its founding class of 120 students.
In its pursuit of high-quality legal education, the institution has established focus on classroom learning. The approach combines mindful interdisciplinary legal education with elements of playfulness and collaboration. This innovative model has garnered widespread appreciation. The institution has meticulously curated contemporary courses, provided personalized mentoring, and designed tutorials that facilitate peer-to-peer learning. Additionally, students have been exposed to practical scenarios through “Counsels in Action” sessions and have participated in “Readiness at the workplace” inspired by management principles. Furthermore, workshops beyond the classroom, influenced by liberal arts traditions, have enriched the learning experience. Since July 2023, the institution has observed the positive impact of this multifaceted approach on student outcomes.
Justice Gita Mittal, former Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court in her insightful speech on “Women Lawyering: My Experiences” left a lasting impression on the students and faculty. Describing the challenges faced by women in the legal field, she motivated the students to pursue success despite obstacles and setbacks.
