Admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD seats in Delhi University (DU) will start on April 15. This year, the varsity will begin the admission procedure a month sooner than it had begun a year ago.
According to an official correspondence from the University conveyed by news organization PTI, admission process for undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil and Ph.D courses will finish on May 7. The varsity will enable the possibility to address their application forms, and the office will open on May 20 for about fourteen days.
ECA (Extra Co-curricular Activities) and Sports fitness trials will start on May 20. The admission through these two alternatives will start before the principle cut off rundown is released. DU holds five per cent seats in all schools under the sports and extra-curricular quota.
This year, the University has decreased the level of mark deduction during the change of stream. Previously 5% was deducted for changing the stream, anyway this year just 2% will be deducted from the best of four averages.
In another improvement, the varsity is attempting to utilize the database of CBSE for the signs of students, with the goal that they do not need to submit it during the admission.
Likewise, colleges have been approached to incorporate delegates from a different category, of SC, ST, OBC, EWS, North-East, in their grievance councils.
Last year ago, nearly 3 lakhs competitors had connected for 60,000 seats in DU.
