Mudit Dandwate, IIT Bombay and Gaurav Parchani, IIT Indore founder of Dozee, a med-tech firm created a portable and non-contact blood pressure monitoring device for patients suffering from health-related issues.
Dozee is a contactless non-wearable health-monitoring device to monitor sleep patterns, heart, and respiration and stress levels. It comprises of its proprietary Advanced Health Intelligence technology. It provides daily reports, a trend-based analysis which can be shared and interact with experts.
Both met while working at Altair Engineering and after realizing they need a device with more accuracy for patient monitoring.
“We knew by going contactless we needn’t have any regulatory approvals, and the doctors were kind enough to work with us on the problem statement,” Gaurav says to a top media agency.
Dozee is now started pre-orders of the device and has raised Rs 4 crore from angel investors.
The device is made up of thin mat with cotton-like material records micro-vibrations produced by our bodies from heartbeats, breathing, movements, snoring and muscle twitches. These vibrations are then processed by our highly curated and extensively tested algorithms and converted into meaningful health markers, which you can see on the app.
