Despite a little resistance by students and teaching fraternity in few famous universities like DU, there are a few Indian Universities that have decided to conduct end-term online exams. The students would be able to give the test from the comfort zone of home.
Some of those universities include Christ University, and Oxford College of Science. Fr Abraham V, VC, Christ University said in a quote, “Around 7000 students will take the exams starting from May 26th.”
Press release from Oxford College of Science read, “The institution partnered with an app-based solution to conduct exams even amid low bandwidth internet environment.”
Few days back, the other institutions such as IIM Kashipur, and GMAC has also allowed their students to appear for exams from the home. In addition, NITIE as well conducted online exams for students in certain courses a few days back.
Over the time, it is seen that the demand for the online assessment platforms is on rise.
Some companies like Mercer Mettl and mUni Campus have seen rise of nearly 50 % in demand.
