Dr Muvvala Venkatanarayana, Assistant Professor, School of Technology, GITAM (Deemed-to-be University), Hyderabad has been coveted with ‘Best Research Scientist’ of 2019.
His work is appreciated in the field of organic and Medicinal Chemistry.
The award was announced in the South Indian ASDF Awards (SIAA) 2019 recently held at Hyderabad. The competition was tough that included various stages of evaluation and verification subjected to the policies framed by the awards committee. From 6348 nominations 24 were eligible for the preliminary selections.
Mr M Venkatanarayana quoted for HEP that “I am happy for the recognition conferred upon me. Good work needs to be continued. I am targeting much-advanced forms of research for the coming future.”
Motivating the students he shared a message, “The role played by research is immense for the development of human civilization. Being a part of it feels great.”
It is to be noted that Mr Venkatatnarayana received this recognition for his credit of 24 national and international papers in the area of organic and medicinal chemistry. He also attended and delivered research presentations in more than 20 conferences.
He has eight years of teaching and research experience at GITAM, Hyderabad.
He completed his PDF (Post Doctoral Fellow) at IISER, Trivandrum. At present four research scholars are working under his guidance.
