There will be a hike in the annual budget allotted to provide interest free loans, in order to ensure that the quality of education in the country is intensified, said Union Minister Prakash Javadekar while addressing the 2nd Higher Education Human Resource Conclave at Jaipur, that was organised ‘to promote an environment of innovations, employability and entrepreneurship across the country’.
The annual budget would be increased to 2,200 crore in the next three years for 10 lakh students, said Union Minister. He also said that more than 15 lakh classrooms from standard 9 to post-graduate levels would be digitalized under ‘Operation Digital Board’.
