The Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi (IIT-D) has desided to back new startup and research willing to begin a business in profound innovation, including artificial intelligence and machine learning to boost its strtup ecosytem.

While the move is great for new companies and research scholars, the IIT-Delhi, will also get profit by their research result, patent, from industry the academic poartnership. New Campus of IIT-Delhi’s in Sonepat will allow this startup not older than 3 years.
“While recent major successes amongst the start-ups have primarily been in several services/e-commerce businesses…there are relatively less, technology-based start-ups which can truly claim to be working in contemporary deep technology domains. It is being felt that there is a need for a viable support mechanism that can attract interested early stage career scientists /engineers who are interested in the innovation-driven entrepreneurial journey,” the IIT document said underling the motive behind their move.
IIT-Delhi has been looking at spending over Rs. 2500 crore including the Rs. 1,000 crore IoE allow in improving its research facilities, physical foundation and effort in the following couple of years. IIT Delhi was positioned third best organizations in India and has a spot among top 200 colleges on the QS World University Ranking. Such programs will help new firms joining their research ecosystem in patents and commercialization of products.
