The rankings of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022 are out and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has retained the title of the best institute for overall higher education in India. IIT Madras is also the best college for engineering, according to the rankings. Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister announced the NIRF rankings for 2022 on Friday, 15th of July. Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, has similarly retained its second position with IIT Bombay ranking in the third position.

As the rankings show, in the field of pharmacy and medicine, the best institute is Jamia Hamdard and AIIMS respectively. The best overall college is Delhi University’s Miranda House. While National Law School of India University retained the first position in the field of Law. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad is the best Business school.
