Indian School of Hospitality (ISH), educational-entrepreneur Dilip Puri’s newest venture and a newcomer in the hospitality education space hosted its first international counsellor summit – the Counsellors’ Retreat 2018. Inaugurated by The Hon’ Vice Chancellor of the Gurugram University Dr. Markanday Ahuja, the summit saw a gathering of school counsellors representing some of the most prominent schools from across the entire country and neighboring regions, including world leaders in hospitality education École hôtelière de Lausanne.
The Counsellors’ Retreat was called with the mission and aim to introduce school counsellors to the diverse range of professional opportunities and career paths in the world of travel, tourism, hospitality, culinary arts and other new age industries for their students.
The event saw counsellors participate in talks held by industry and education leaders that highlighted the trends of the hospitality industry, career options for students and the benefits of hospitality and culinary education for today’s talent.

During the interactive session, designated industry and academic experts discussed and exchanged views about ISH and how it is bringing difference to the hospitality and culinary education space. During talks, they also highlighted the tailor-made curriculum, facilities and unique design of the ISH campus which is providing students with spaces to put their hands-on skills to the test and helping make them industry ready. The audiences were also informed about how ISH is disrupting the traditional hospitality education model to produce exceptional talent for multiple industries.
