Guwahati’s Sneha Pareek has secured the top rank by getting a perfect score of 300/300 in JEE Main 2022 Session 1. Sneha said that she wishes to pursue BTech in Computer Science and is not preferring any IIT over the other.
“I studied for around 12 to 13 hours daily and dedicated myself to JEE preparation more than the board exams,” the topper shared. She also said that staying away from social media and other recreational activities helped her to stay focussed while preparing for the highly competitive exam.
Sneha who is eagerly waiting for her CBSE class 12 results is confident of putting up a good show yet again.
Unlike most of the IIT aspirants who relocate themselves to Kota for JEE preparation, Sneha willingly stayed at Guwahati to remain close to her family. Sneha said that the decision worked in her favour, as staying with her family during the preparations was a great mental support and morale booster to her.
Sneha said that she followed the coaching notes shared by Allen career institute and also read HC Verma’s book for Physics and Sudarshan Guha for Chemistry, while preparing for the exam.
Sneha Pareek has opted out of appearing for the session 2 of the JEE Main 2022 exam and instead she will use the time for preparing for JEE Advanced. Her key strategy for all exams is ‘practicing maximum mock tests’.
Eventhough, she believes that all the IITs are equal in quality and resources, if given a choice, she said that she will opt for IIT Bombay.
