How has the job market evolved?
Recruiters becoming more focused on skills of the candidates, even though the preference for strong brands whether it is companies in which the candidate is working or an institute from which the candidate has graduated, continue to be high. The second trend that has emerged is the usage of the Application Tracking System.
As the number of applications is fairly large for even a medium-size organization and recruiting teams become conscious of improving the candidate experience, they have invested in technology to make it easier for candidates to apply online and also to manage the process of recruitment at their end.
The third trend is the formal collection of interview feedback and ensuring the internal checks and balances are maintained in the hiring process. To a large extent, top recruiters were already following these practices. What we have seen in the last few years is an increase in adoption across small and medium-sized companies.

Have engineering and MBA courses reached a saturation point?
Now, with an increase in the number of B-schools, Engineering colleges and institutions offering professional courses, both supply and competition have gone up. Newer IITs, IIMs, IIITs and NITs have also expanded the available seats for students. That has increased the number of students who are graduating with these qualifications. While the demand-supply mismatch a few years ago has substantially come down, there are plenty of jobs demanding the candidates with these skills.
The major challenge with today’s generation is technological advancements, the supply of the quality workforce with desired skills is a challenge. India’s engineering and MBA education problems are not hidden. There are recruiters waiting for appropriate candidates but candidates with required skill sets are missing.

The system will interact with the students to give answers to any queries from college details, exam details, and career to course details. It tries to provide the exact information which student is trying to find out with the information available on Shiksha. After providing the solution to the query, it will also provide a link to the student to navigate for more information available on the query.
Shiksha Assistant uses multiple Artificial intelligence technologies & techniques to give an answer to students’ queries. Firstly, it tries to understand the intent of students’ queries. Secondly, by using NLP (Natural language processing), it tries to understand what all topics it can serve as per the query. Based on that, it tries matching the students’ intent with topics to extract the precise details required from the information available within the topics. Shiksha Assistant tries to build the context of queries and provide relevant results based on previous conversations with the student or the information student is exploring on the portal.
