Directorate general of medical services will conduct the NEET PG/MDS 2019 counselling from today for 50 percent of the All India Quota seats. The counseling process will start by opening the registration portal to participate in the counseling for various MD/MS and postgraduate diploma courses.
A centralized counseling process will be conducted for the 50 percent All India Quota Seats, Deemed and Central Universities, AFM Institutions and ESIC. The counseling for NEET PG and MDS is conducted based on the merit rank secured by candidates in the NEET PG and MDS entrance exam. The counseling for the All India Quota seats will be conducted in two rounds while the counseling for the central and deemed universities will be conducted in three rounds. The merit list was earlier released on March 6, 2019.

Medical Council of India has brought about changes in the NEET PG counseling procedure which mandates the eligibility of the candidate after the conclusion of each round of counseling. The fee fortifier rule will also be applicable as per the mandate.
Every candidate will have to submit a refundable and non-refundable fee while registering for the counseling process. If a seat has not been allotted to a candidate in the first round, the fee will be refunded. Candidates can check the registration fee in the table here.
