Osmania University is all set to hold Final Semester Exam 2020 for UG and PG students starting tomorrow i.e. from 16th Sept 2020 onwards. Despite the challenging circumstances of COVID-19 pandemic, the varsity has opted to hold Osmania University Exam 2020 in offline mode.
Tentative estimates suggest that round 2.5 lakh students who are in their final year of undergraduate and postgraduate level courses will appear for the Final Semester Exam 2020 starting tomorrow.
The University has designaged over 300 exam centres across the state and also put in place the necessary COVID-19 precautionary measures to ensure safe and smooth conduct of the examinations.
According to the details shared by Osmania University Controller of Examinations, Professor Sriram Venkatesh, Final Year Exams 2020 at the varsity are being held in a staggered manner to avoid crowding at the exam centres. BE / Engineering students will be appearing for the exams in the morning session i.e. from 10 AM to 12 PM while other stream students will be appearing for exams in afternoon session i.e. from 3 PM to 5 PM. He also informed that the varsity has developed spaced seating arrangements to ensure proper social distancing at the exam centre.
In line with the UGC Guidelines for University and College-level exams, Osmania University has decided to promote all the students who are in their intermediate semesters to the next academic grade without holding any exams. However, the varsity plans to hold backlog exams for any students who might have failed earlier along with the final year exams 2020.
