As per Union Health Minister 9,000 cases were being reported for swine flu epidemic. With increase in death count of 86 were reported last week.
107 deaths were reported from Rajasthan which is the highest in number followed by Gujarat at 55 and the Punjab. Deaths are more likely in persons with concurrent disease like diabetes, hypertension, diarrhea, etc.
Recently, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) has reviewed the situation and assisted the state with high number of cases. Review and meetings are done at highest level to prepare state and hospital to adapt correct measures and methods.
Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) and its State units have enhanced the surveillance for Influenza cases. It is also assisting 12 other lab networks in terms of guidance of procedure, quality assurance, transport medium, and diagnostic counsels. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has activated 41 more laboratories to handle H1N1 cases. All the states were advised to follow MOHFW guideline related to any kind of protocol and clinical assist which is available at official website.

As per TOI, there is a sharp of cases in 2018 but now the line is rising regularly.
Oseltamivir is the drug recommended by WHO for H1N1 which antiviral agents prevent, shorten, and reduce the severity of flu. The drug is made available through the Public Health System free of cost. Drug controller general of India has been asked to coordinate with drug manufacturers and monitor the drug availability in various states.
Govt. of India is providing coordination to supply all accessories (drugs, PPE units, N-95 face masks) to the states with more emergency. At present in 2019, Govt. of India has been provided the coordination to Bihar, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu (J&K), Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, and Punjab.
MOHFW has prescribed inoculation for healthcare staffs and other need groups. The details of fabricates of immunization (according to proposal of Govt. of India) gave from DCGI, has been imparted to all States. Correspondence material for preventive measures has likewise been imparted to every one of the States.
