The British Council has introduced the GREAT Scholarships 2024, enabling students from India to pursue postgraduate taught studies in the UK starting from the autumn of 2024. These scholarships cover a range of fields of study and are a collaborative effort with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign.
The British Council, serving as the UK’s international organization for educational opportunities and cultural relations, is facilitating this initiative.
Under this program, 25 UK universities are offering a total of 26 postgraduate GREAT scholarships to Indian students this year. The eligible fields of study include Finance, Marketing, Business, Psychology, Design, Humanities, Dance, and more. Each GREAT scholarship holds a minimum value of £10,000, intended to be applied towards tuition fees for a one-year postgraduate course in the UK for the academic year 2024-25.
Moreover, in the academic year 2024-25, there are four Science and Technology scholarships offered at four UK universities. Indian students can apply for courses encompassing a range of science and technology-related subjects, including artificial intelligence, sustainable engineering, psychology, and more, at any of the participating higher education institutions.
To be eligible for these scholarships, students must have received an offer of admission from one of the participating universities and meet all the entry requirements specified by the respective university for their chosen course.
