TISS Appoints Shalini Bharat as Director

Eight months post the retirement of former director S Parasuramam, TISS appointed Professor Shalini Bharat associated with the esteemed institute as the director. Bharat has been a lecturer and then a professor of the Tata Institute, and has also been the first dean at School of Health Systems Studies and National Co-ordinator of Global Fund Project-Sakham.

Professor Shalini is a gold medalist in MA and completed her PhD from the Allahabad University. She has been associated with quite a few national bodies that also include the group of National Rural Health Mission.
