The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has scheduled the release of the NIRF ranking for higher education institutes at 11.00 am on Friday, July 15, 2022. Union Educational Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will release the results. The NIRF Rankings 2022 will be declared for eleven categories: Overall, University, Management, College, Pharmacy, Medical, Engineering, Architecture, ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements), Law and Research Institutions.
The ranking parameter of NIRF rankings differ for all categories. The rankings for colleges, universities, and institutes are given on the basis of Teaching, Learning and Resources; Research and Professional Practice; Graduation Outcomes; Outreach and Inclusivity and Peer Perception. The NIRF Ranking was introduced in 2016 with four categories and was increased to eleven in 2021.
In the NIRF Ranking 2021, The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras was ranked first in the overall category. The top 10 ranked universities/institutions in the NIRF Ranking 2021 are given below:
