It feels food to write. While, some already realize the pleasure in writing, few take it as a waste of time where they feel that posting a video of one minute can suffice the content needs of a 2 page article. However, I would humbly like to differ here with a gut feeling that nothing matches the feel of free-flow writing.
Strengthening my case further, I hereby present a few points on writing:
Feeling of companionship: The first and foremost point on the side of writing is the feeling of Companionship one gets through writing. Writing gives a subtle illusion of someone keenly listening to our thoughts. The pen & paper at that moment becomes our best friends. Whether sorrow or happiness, writing down helps lessen the stress.
Being little distant from technology: By now, people already know the harmful effects of technology usage. With a range of issues from back-pains to dis connectivity with world around, the excess use of technology takes enhances our dependency on it. As such, writing keeps us away from technology at least for some time.
It’s about spending a self-time: This is a pure bliss. The ultimate simplicity in the writing remains evergreen. Writing can be therapeutic too. It can be a way to vent all the pent-up frustrations burdening the mind into a far less volatile form, paper.
Development of Analytical and Rational skills: Writing down thoughts helps out in analyzing the situation. Writing regularly, develops the Analytical and Rational skills. Working through the problems with a piece of paper encourages to think things through clearly, in both linear (sequential) and non-linear (creative) ways. The best solutions come from a mix of both logical and creative thinking.
Solving component by component through writing: Many people tend to panic and react emotionally to their problems, but if we’re used to solving them by processing each component of the problem in writing, we’ll develop a better approach and skill set. We’ll at least pause to think through the situation, before hitting the panic button next time something comes up!
